The entrance gate to Hluhluwe Game Reserve is Memorial gate situated a mere 13km outside of the town of Hluhluwe. Take care while driving and ensure all speed limits are adhered to at all times.
Hluhluwe Game Reserve a smaller reserve compared to Kruger National Park offers one a chance to travel through the entire Northern section of the park in one day. The park is divided into two sections namely the Hluhluwe the northern side and the Umfolozi the southern side. One may access both reserves from either side and travel to and from either. Both sides or reserves do have their own uniqueness and do differ to fauna and flora as well. The Hluhluwe offers one more hill side vantages than its counter part the Umfolozi and the Umfolozi has more open areas as well as water sources ( that one may access).

Travelling to Hluhluwe Game Reserve can be done via the N2 ( National Road ) from Durban 2,5 hours away. En-route from Durban 2 gates may be accessed one the Nyalazi Gate in the Umfolozi Game Reserve and the Memorial Gate in the North Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Both parks or reserves are one and really make for a Safari outing.
